VideogameGomboc
A collaboration with artist Jubair Ahmed. It creates an interactive experience that sheds light on the artist’s treatment to 3D models in her Worldbuilding assets. Each model/object is an atom and a galaxy, following a fish’s mundane exploration of reality. If you stick around enough, you discover a couple of gates that allow you to walk through a maze of the model’s internal structure. The game hints at a door at the top through a camera tilt whenever the player stops interacting. The closer you get to that room, the louder you can hear Hungarian mathematician and engineer Gábor Domokos talking about the Gomboc, the first known homogenous object with one stable and one unstable equilibrium point, thus two equilibria altogether on a horizontal surface. Once you reach the room at the top, you’re able to interact with a table of objects; moving them around and rearrange their order.
